LAC Lugano Arte E Cultura

LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura stands as Lugano’s modern cultural centerpiece, set along the city’s scenic lakefront. Designed by Ticinese architect Ivano Gianola and opened in 2015, the center brings together music, theater, dance, and visual arts under one striking roof. Its nearly 1,000-seat concert and theater hall hosts a dynamic program, including classical and contemporary concerts by LuganoMusica and the resident Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, as well as innovative productions from Compagnia Finzi Pasca and visiting international artists.

Art lovers can explore the Museo d’arte della Svizzera italiana (MASI Lugano), which spans three floors with a mix of permanent collections and rotating exhibitions, often presented in collaboration with private collectors and other museums. The adjacent Giancarlo & Danna Olgiati Collection, open on weekends, adds further depth to the art experience.
