Bellinzona Treasure Hunt

The Bellinzona Treasure Hunt is a fun and interactive way for families and curious travelers to discover the historic heart of Bellinzona. This self-guided scavenger hunt leads participants through the city’s charming old town and its three UNESCO-listed castles: Castelgrande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro. Starting at the Infopoint Bellinzona in Piazza Collegiata, you’ll receive a map and a set of clues. As you follow the numbered trail, you’ll search for eight hidden letters at key landmarks, piecing them together to solve a mystery word.

The basic route takes about two hours and is suitable for all ages, with the option to extend your adventure by visiting bonus stops at Montebello and Sasso Corbaro. These castles can be reached on foot, by car, or via the seasonal Artù tourist train (April to October). Once you’ve cracked the code, return your completed map to the Infopoint for a surprise prize.

The treasure hunt costs CHF 5.00 per family, making it an affordable and engaging way to explore Bellinzona’s medieval streets, towers, and castle courtyards. Infopoint opening hours are Monday to Friday 9:00–18:00, Saturday 9:00–16:00, and Sunday/holidays 10:00–16:00.
